Oh wow what a great week we had at Eastbury Community School for Children in Need starting from Monday 14th – Friday 18th November.
I would like to start with thanking the students and staff for their amazing generosity towards the charity. I was so proud of them and all their hard efforts into making the week incredible. I have always been a huge fan of what the charity represents and to be part of a school as caring as Eastbury is just the icing on the cake for me.
We had a crazy week of different events running like ‘Guess the bears name’ which one of our lovely year 9 girls won. We had ‘Guess how many bubble gums there are in a jar’ which a year 10 boy took home with him plus sponsor silence, raffles, sponge the teacher and lots more.
The fantastic Technology department ran a ‘Cake Bake sale’ for the students which went down very well and the cakes tasted phenomenal so a big well done to them plus our lovely primary school took part in supporting Pudsey by wearing their spots with pride for our big ‘Be Noticed Day’ where every child counts in this world.
The money we raised was a whooping £2,431.48 which is out of this world and the highest we’ve ever made at Eastbury for CIN. I want to thank all the students, staff and parents once again for being part of a charity that is so important and that really does make a difference to all children in the UK.
Here’s to next year to make it a bigger number!
