We began our fourth year in September 2018 by opening our KS2 corridor. Our year 3 children proudly ventured upstairs to their brand new classrooms named after the University cities of Glasgow and Belfast.
Here at Eastbury Community Primary we encourage our pupils to achieve the highest possible personal standards through Values Education and our positive approach to behaviour. We also foster a growth mindset that builds towards academic success. Each half term we focus on a new Value and this is explored through our PSHE curriculum as well as in our Rainbow and Star Family assemblies. To develop our pupils local and global awareness we regularly invite special guests from the local community to talk about their work in Barking and the wider world.
We are very fortunate in that we have and are continuing to build an extremely supportive school community of Parents and Carer’s. This vibrant community plays an enormous part in making Eastbury Community School the successful and unique school it has become. We keep families well informed of their child’s progress, school events and have established regular parent information sessions along with opportunities to visit lessons. Parents and carers are also invited into school to share our celebrations of achievement.
Embracing the opportunities an all through school provides, our Secondary pupils, staff and governors always enjoy meeting our young pupils. We are lucky to be able to work with teachers and students from many of our secondary departments who enrich the learning of our pupils . Links between the Primary and Secondary Phases are strengthening year on year: we have much to look forward to as we grow and learn together.
