We are proud to say that our primary and secondary pupils settle quickly, enjoy school and are successful in a caring, safe and supportive environment. All pupils receive consistent and supportive guidance throughout their school career and we are confident that when pupils join Eastbury they feel confident in reaching out to members of staff for guidance.
In 2019, and again in 2020, the school was recognised with the SSAT Educational Outcomes Award for being in the top 20% of schools nationally for progress, complementing our ‘Leading Edge’ status. Eastbury Sixth Form’s results were in the top 5% nationally in 2018 and achieved the second-best progress for state schools in London and the ninth best in England. “Highly effective teaching, a broad curriculum, pastoral support and careers guidance, ensure that students make substantial progress. Students leave the school extremely well prepared for the next stages of their careers and as responsible citizens in modern Britain.” (OFSTED July, 2018)
In 2020, more than one in three of our students gained a place at a Russell Group University and overall 66% of the cohort gained a place at a top third university. We were extremely pleased that 4 of our students achieved ‘Oxbridge’ places (3 at the University of Cambridge and 1 at Oxford). Many of our students chose, and secured apprenticeships with top firms. In 2017 and 2018 our Maths and Science departments were shortlisted for the TES Awards and our English department has previously been awarded this accolade in recognition of their innovative teaching practice for three consecutive years. Our school recently gained the Platinum Artsmark award, for its very high standards in the creative arts as well as the Healthy Schools London gold award.
