Eastbury Comprehensive is centrally located within the direct vicinity of Longridge Road and Barking Park.  Easy access is available by both public and private transport.

Recent building means that it offers bright, modern, purpose-built facilities, ideal for functions, meetings, conferences and performances.  Sports and teaching facilities are also available. 

Main Hall

The Main Hall was built in 1997 and is the largest school hall in the Borough, accomodating approximately 550 people seated.  It is furnished to high specification and features a large stage with proscenium arch, red velvet curtains and stage lighting, together with audio and projection facilites.  Wood sprung flooring and upholstered chairs enhance the ambiance of the venue.  Toilets are accessed via the adjacent foyer with all facilities accessible to disabled.

 

Dining Hall

The main Dining Hall was built in 1996 and is a bright, modern, spacious hall, accomodating 350 people seated, with a maximum capacity of 400.  Loose tables and chairs are available, together with a kitchen and double serving area.  Toilets are accessed directly off the Dining Hall with all facilities accessible to disabled.

A smaller Dining Hall was opened in 2005 and will accomodate 100 people seated, with a maximum capacity of 150 people.  Tables with fixed seating are available, with immediate access to the hall and main dining area, via a small bistro area.

 

6th Form Centre

The 6th Form Centre was opened in 2002, and provides a small, intimate venue for meetings and functions.  A central glass roofed atrium, fully equipped with projection facilities and bistro style furniture is surrounded by classrooms.  Toilet facilities are found within the building, which has direct access to the car park.

Classroom Facilities

Within the new building, which was opened in September 2005, are fully equipped ICT rooms, together with commercially equipped Food Technology classrooms.

Sports Facilities

A modern Sports Hall has recently been expanded and refurbished as part of the school’s ongoing building programme.  It contains facilities for 5-a-side football and netball/ basketball, together with a newly equipped fitness room and gymnasium.

Regular local bus service stops in Longbridge Road (between Hulse Avenue/Strathfield Gardens) with a two minute walk to the school.

 

Train:

Barking Station - approximately ten minute walk to the school.
