The staff and governors at Eastbury School share with parents high expectations of all students. We believe students achieve their best when the school, parents and students themselves work together in partnership. We have therefore developed a Home School Partnership Agreement.

The School commits itself to:

  • ensuring that each student is valued as an individual
  • having clear aims and expectations for all students
  • providing a safe, well ordered and caring environment
  • ensuring a full programme of study is provided to all
  • dealing swiftly with any incidents or concerns relating to your son or daughter
  • informing you regularly about your child's progress
  • providing you with annual written reports and opportunities to discuss your child's learning

We ask all students to commit themselves to:

  • working to the best of their ability
  • attending regularly and being on time
  • having a positive attitude towards school and keeping to the school code
  • ensuring they have the correct equipment for learning at all times
  • taking a pride in their own appearance by wearing full school uniform
  • trying to get on with others within the school community
  • becoming involved in other activities outside of lesson times

We ask all parents/carers to commit themselves to:

  • encouraging high standards of attendance and punctuality
  • attending all parents' evenings for discussions about student progress
  • supporting your child in the completion of homework
  • supporting the school behaviour policies and other school practices
  • maintaining close (and regular) contact with the school regarding any concerns or problems which may affect learning or behaviour

Admissions Procedure

The school advises parents to follow the admissions procedure set out in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham guide, 'The Right Secondary School', copies of which are available from the Town Hall.

All prospective parents and students are invited and encouraged to look around the school before making their secondary school selection. Full details of the school's Open Days and Open Evening can be obtained from the school office and are included in the supplementary information.
