Instrument of Government

1. The name of the school is Eastbury Community School 

2. The school is a community School 

3. The name of the governing body is “The governing body of Eastbury Community School” 

4. The governing body shall consist of: 

a. Two parent governors 

b. One LA governor 

c. One staff governor 

d. One headteacher 

e. Ten co-opted governor 

5. The total number of governors = 15 

6. The term of office of all governors is four years 

7. The instrument of government comes into effect on 1st April 2015 

8. The instrument was made by order of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Local Authority on 18 March 2015 

9. A copy of the instrument must be supplied to every member of the governing body (and the headteacher if not a governor), any trustees and to the appropriate religious body.
