What will I study
In year 10 you will study cognition and behaviour through the following four topics:
- Memory
- Perception
- Development
- Research methods
In year 11 you will study social context and behaviour through the following four topics:
- Social influence
- Language, thought and communication
- Brain and neuropsychology
- Psychological problems
How will I be assessed?
At the end of the two-year course, you will complete two written exams, which will assess the topics you learnt in each year respectively.
Both exams will be:
- 1 hour 45 minutes
- 100 marks
- Worth 50% of your GCSE grade Both will consist of four sections – each relating to each of the four topics studied within each year.
Each section will include:
- Multiple choice questions
- Short answer questions
- Extended writing questions
